Well this is crap. This is not even the full version of this album, just a 4-track 'sampler', but I am just as glad they didn't force me to listen to the whole thing, as the part I have is dull enough. Bishop Of Hexen (hereafter BoH) call themselves a Symphonic Black Metal band, but there is precious little Black or Symphonic about it.

This is mostly Goth wankery with introspective whiney doom/goth nonsense for lyrics. It is impossible for me to describe just how dull this music is. Vocals alternate between a bad screech and a bad moan. Riffs are dull and repetitive, and the 'symphonic' element mostly consists of a keyboard that sounds like someone is just holding down random keys for ten seconds at a time. There is nothing actively offensive about this music, it's just utterly pedestrian and 'blah'. Another band with no especial reason to exist. Next.
