The Search Won't Fall…

Critical Defiance continue to deliver their finely tuned thrash with The Search Won't Fall... Once again this is firmly rooted in the old school, but with a subtle modern touch that ensures the music doesn't sound too old-fashioned (not that there would be any wrong with that). The vocalist delivers powerful, clear but harsh vocals and does a great job keeping up with the speedy and violent musical onslaught. Lots of speed and heaviness, drums that make the whole room shake, razor-sharp, incisive guitars with squealy solos that all call for your shiniest air guitar, it's hard to ask for more. This is cleaner than a lot of thrash out there, closer to the old American school than the European one, but the aggressiveness and the sheer energy coming out of the speakers more than make up for the lack of a more raw and dirty delivery. Highly recommended.
