I wasn't particularly fond of 2019's Deserted, but all that is forgotten with Dark Superstition. This time the songs stand out a lot more with quite a bit of catchy passages that tend to stick around, not quite "death 'n' roll" material but testing the waters at times, so there's some call for accompanying the razor-sharp guitars with some air guitaring while listening to this. There's a good mix of harsher, heavier and faster death metal with a slower and more melodic style that's actually quite accessible and even a little groovy, in a good way. The shouted harsh vocals are front and centre and kind of drive everything else, to good effect. If you're looking for some crunchy melodic death metal that doesn't lack in aggressiveness, Dark Superstition is worth checking out.
