The Illusion of Time

This is billed as Doom/Death, but I really think it is just slow Death Metal, which is not the same thing. There are no Doom melodies or any kind of melancholic feel to this, it's more like Bolt Thrower, with churning, chugging riffs and a good amount of heaviness on display. That said, the riffs here are nowhere near Bolt Thrower levels of cool, even if they get the job done. If you just want heavy thugging and deep gurgling vocals, then this will do it for you, but there's nothing to really grab onto.
