Another World

Following the trail from Remina led me to this—another band featuring the fantastic vocals of Heike Langhans, formerly of Draconian. This is another project pretty much headed up by multi-instrumentalist Mike Lamb, who is also the mastermind behind Remina as well as Sojourner (and man do I hope Heike turns up on the next Sojourner album). This is gloomy, evocative Doom with a lot of atmospherics and even some electronic sounds, all of it layered over with Langhans's mournful, haunted vocals. If you want crushing heaviness you will want to look elsewhere, but if you like haunting melodies and a shit-ton of mood, then this is where to get it.
