This has a good sound out of the gate, but by the midway point, the painfully standard and repetitive songwriting really starts to wear. There's nothing terrible about this album, but it is such rote mid-2000s Black Metal with the tremolo riffs that just kind of scale up and down and up and down, the screechy vocals, and the production that is polished enough to sound heavy, but too polished to sound arcane or underground. This reminds me of Averse Sefira quite a bit, in that it is not enough of one thing or another to really stand out.
