I thought I'd give these guys another try to see how things have changed since 2017. Their old-school heavy metal is more toned down, much darker this time around and with a more '70s vibe instead of the more party-like, freewheeling mid-80s style on No Retreat...You Surrender. The '80s vibe is still there, but again of the more toned-down variety, the guys seemingly much more disciplined. The vocals are in Spanish this time and the vocal work is much better, sometimes pretty intense and it's hard not to get sucked in. I'm reminded a bit of Aria (Russia) here and there. There's nothing here that really sticks out, however, and I found it annoying that sometimes it sounds like a song is really about to take off and then they just back off - kind of a tease, really. This is not a bad album and there's a lot to like, but I wish it left something to remember once it's over.
