Black Metal has more than its share of one-man projects (or in this case, the classic "one person and also a drummer" lineup) but hold up, because this is actually a one-woman project. I am sure there are others, but I have not run across them so far, and it makes this a bit more unique than it would otherwise be. This is atmospheric Black Metal with a lot of mood and melody, a heavier guitar sound than the standard, and sparse vocals, so a lot of it is just instrumental. The heavier parts of this are the best, as the guitar sound is good and the riffs are solid. The songwriting is more than a little disjointed, and lacks any kind of focus. I can tell the kind of sound she is aiming for—there's more than a bit of modern Enslaved in the sound of this—going for a mixed dark, Black, but also somewhat orchestrated sound with ritual elements. I like the idea, but the execution is not there yet.
