This is some pretty raw black/thrash, not only musically but the production is rather crude and it's a good fit for the blackened filth on offer here. This is more straightforward than a lot of the albums of the genre I've heard recently and the album has a bit of a (good) demo-like quality that makes it sound more lively, like you're listening to the band play in their rehearsal room. The vocals are mostly decipherable, yet just as raw and crude as the music, the vocalist pretty much spitting it out the whole time. The riffs are mostly old school, sometimes reminding me of the rawer '80s thrash. At times I'm reminded of early Desaster, both vocally and musically, though that's just the odd passage here and there. I can't say I remember all that much when it's over, but the album is a good slab of headbanging fun.
