This is the second EP from this Finnish act that is essentially one guy plus session musicians. This is as pure a stripe of Heavy/Power Metal as I can remember, because it has that classic, '80s-styled riffing, but then the very double bass, happy-melody choruses that are more typical of the HelloGammaWeen progeny from Europe around the turn of the century. There's nothing especially wrong with this, there's just not anything that good either. The riffs will sound pretty good, and the performances and recording are solid, but the melodies are just too sticky-sweet for this to really get me excited.
