This is a band that has definite talent but doesn't know when to quit, as they just cram in too much. Just looking at the lineup, which features a full seven members, tells you this is a band that can't edit. Some of the songs here are really strong, like "Rebel Heart," but too many of them sound like some weird mashup of several bands at once. The vocalist situation doesn't help this, as the band has both a male and a female singer, and they really should pick one. I would say they should keep Anastasia Panagiotu, as her voice at least has some character. Male singer Matthias Gotz is just super-bland and listening to him is like listening to wet bread.
So some of the songwriting here is good, and even the not-as-good songs have good parts. It's well produced (probably overproduced) and well played, but there's just not a consistent sound here. This band doesn't have a sound, they have several, and they switch gears without any warning. It's meant to feel adventurous, but it mostly feels random. I would say this is a promising band, but after five albums, I think this is as good as they are going to get.
