I didn't get as much of a kick out of Get it Now as I did out of Bursting Out (The Beast Became Human) even though both albums are roughly in the same vein of no-frills, barebones, catchy '80s metal (well, they are '80s metal). There are a lot of good moments of pure heavy metal goodness here, but nothing that stands out all that much, this reissue containing just over one hour of material (the ten original songs and five live tracks) that pretty much just goes along for the ride. It's not bad, just not as good as its predecessor. Catchy melodies, check. Cool solos, check. Somewhat memorable vocal lines, you get that too, courtesy of the singer's raucous but addictive voice. It's a good album while it's on, but there isn't much left to digest once it's over. Still, if you liked Bursting Out (The Beast Became Human), you'll definitely find something to like here.
