Walled

Walled is an EP of typical thrash with a hint of death in the vocals and hardcore in the ferocious riffs from Florida's Intoxicated. The band name and song titles like "Yuck" speak to the band's general philosophy and lyrical themes. Musically, Intoxicated play fast and mean and Walled is 19 minutes and 55 seconds of pure smash-mouth thrash that isn't trying to be fancy or pretentious. The band is tight, and the energy of the performances is undeniable even if the songwriting is on the generic side. Walled isn't going to change your opinions about thrash one way or the other but if you want to put your head down and enter the pit, it will do the job.
