I reviewed this band's EP a couple of years ago and liked it quite a bit, but this debut album almost mops the floor with it. Right off the bat the first thing you'll notice is that the production is better, but it's the music that totally slays here. While the EP had a bit of a doomy feel to it at times, At the Crossroads to Infinity is mostly fast, heavy, punchy death metal from beginning to end. The guitars are so sharp they can slice through concrete and the vocals still have that nightmarish tone to them. Draghkar have managed to wrap all this with a good serving of catchy melodies that will haunt your disturbed mind long after the album is over. I found it hard to skip to some other album after listening to this, my instinct being to just listen to it over and over.
