Circle of Darkness

This is a Death/Thrash band that comes down heavy on the Thrash, with an abusive, heavy fucking guitar sound and some great riffs. I do wish they played faster more often, but still, the sheer chugging heaviness of this is a pleasure. Maybe none of this sounds super-original, but it has a shit-ton of energy and just pummels and thrashes all the way through. The vocals are a weak point, as they are a kind of monotone shout that is trying to recall Lars Petrov from Entombed, but doesn't have the same intensity. So the vocals get a bit stale, and the songwriting isn't amazing, but this hits pretty damned hard anyway.
