Unholy Evil Metal
Evil Angel present some no-frills black/thrash on this album and they manage to deliver it as raw as it gets without it sounding like it was recorded in a condemned bathroom. These guys play it with attitude and with a bit of a first-wave black metal rocking vibe. That's not uncommon at all these days, with the genre having been used and abused, but what makes Unholy Evil Metal so appealing is the malevolent atmosphere conveyed by those haunting raspy vocals—you know, the kind of stuff that if you crank it out loud enough, the neighbours will think you're in there summoning demons or something. The raw, fast and brutal black/thrash musical assault is the perfect delivery vehicle for those dark incantations. Minimalistic and fun.
