Ceremonious Extinction

I rather enjoyed this band's debut, The Astral Awakening, so I decided to give their latest EP a spin. Good thing I did too, as this is a step up in every way. There's still some obvious Slayer worship, but the band has begun stretching out their sound to be even more brutal and ferocious, much in the vein of bands like Demolition Hammer and Malevolent Creation. Every song is accompanied with a wall of searing riffs that'll snap your neck in half, but it's on closer "Immortalized" where they really start experimenting more with their song structures, and I hope to see them do more of it in the future. They have a new album in the works, and if this EP is anything to go by, it's going to crush my skull in with an assault of brutal Thrash. Recommended.
