This is the debut for an Italian Black Metal band who are working the more melodic end of the pool. These songs are mostly longer, and have some pretty good riffs, but they also tend to work the riffs too long, so they become overdone and repetitive by the time the song is done. These songs don't seem to be long for any real songwriting reason, rather just for the sake of it. There are some really nice riffs and some beautiful leads on this disc, but overall it becomes kind of boring, without enough musical ideas to sustain it through the running time.
