This new album from these Italian blasphemers is a marked improvement over their previous one. Son of No God offers six songs that represent a whirlwind of hellish Black Metal havoc which calls to mind bands like Marduk, Mayhem, Impaled Nazarene, and Immortal in particular.

Much like their last one, this album is stuffed with piercing, aggressive, mercilessly fast riffs, the crazy and nearly militaristic drumming of Marco Dal Pastro (aka Bestia), and the deranged, out of this world vocals of Luigi Biondi (a.k.a Phobos). In other words, it's a little over 45 minutes of nonstop mayhem that takes no prisoners while it forcibly gets under your skin and leaves you breathless.

There's only one gear in Acheronte's blasphemous vehicle, and it's a murderous and blindingly fast one at that. Are you ready for this? I doubt it.
