With a name like Outre, I expected this to be a French band but they're actually from Poland. Hollow Earth contains fast black metal with an omnipresent apocalyptic atmosphere. It doesn't sound "evil", but rather like everything around you is falling apart and you're trying to hold on to something so you won't fall into the abyss. Fucked up enough for you? Here's more: it's a great feeling. ;)
The vocals, harsh, raw-sounding rasps also contribute to the overall feel of the album, top-notch job by the vocalist here. The music is a mix of fast and slower but heavy-as-fuck black metal that just doesn't let go. Other than the relatively quiet—but dark—intro, the speakers are filled with this malevolent beast from beginning to end. It's one of those albums I have a hard time not playing over and over. Great stuff.
